CSS Magic Website Review

Q: What is the site's URL? Why is it your favorite?

A: My favorite site is DesignModo.com's Examples of CSS Website Designs because I think it shows more realistic and practical sites that you might actually see online. As my CSS skills improve, hopefully I'll be able to make pages that look similar to these examples someday.

Q: Does the site's home page validate?

A: No. There are over 100 errors and/or warnings.

Q: Find any other page on the site. Does the second page validate?

A: No. Their products page has over a dozen errors and even more warnings.

Q: Document how many validation errors and/or warnings may exist on each of the two pages you validate.

A: The home page has 63 errors and 46 warnings. The products page has 14 errors and 44 warnings.

Q: How would you rate the site's design, on a scale of 1(horrible) to 10 (fantastic)? Why?

A: I would rate its design a 9 out of 10. Pictures for each design are complimented by a simple block of text that describes each picture. It's a simple layout and color scheme that help the pictures stand out.

Q: How would you rate the site's usability on a scale of 1 (horrible) to 10 (fantastic)? Why?

A: I would rate the site's usability a 7 out of 10. For the most part I can see each design example just fine, however I'm not a fan of the sticky navbar that covers the top of the viewport. The page's purpose is to scroll through it and find pictures that catch the eye, and I feel like the navbar gets in the way of that.

Q: Does the site meet its purpose?

A: Yes, I would say that the site does meet its purpose. The page shows people what CSS is truly capable of and inspires people like me who want to make similar-looking sites someday.
